Tilburg – 380 kV Grid Development

The Tilburg project, delivered for the Dutch Transmission System Operator TenneT, represents a major extra-high-voltage (EHV) transmission network upgrade. Working as part of a joint venture, SELT carried out complex works on live multi-circuit transmission lines while managing extremely limited outage windows and weather-sensitive construction activities.
The project introduced the standard Moldau transmission tower to the Netherlands for the first time, together with the structural reinforcement of existing towers and complex conductor stringing using three-bundle and four-bundle configurations.
A key element of the project was the engineering and construction of major temporary works, including protective crossing systems and temporary support structures, enabling transmission line crossings over major roads to be completed safely.
The successful delivery of this project further demonstrated SELT’s capability to execute large-scale transmission infrastructure projects in accordance with the highest European technical standards, on construction sites exceeding 50,000 m².
